Stephanie graduated from Webster University with a degree in accounting. Stephanie’s various positions at Holbrook prepared her for her current role as Chief Operating Officer where she focuses on field operations, translating Holbrook's vision into operational terms, improving efficiency of workflow, and managing the Operations team. In her free time she enjoys traveling, hiking, photography, and spending time with family. Stephanie has visited Costa Rica, Belize, Honduras, Guatemala, Colombia, Nicaragua, Panama, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, New Zealand, Hawaii, Iceland, Madagascar, France, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. Her hidden talent is creative writing, and she dreams of writing a novel.
Jennifer received an associate's degree in business administration at Santa Fe Community College. Jennifer is responsible for the Global Sales group programming including program development, pricing, and field orchestration. Jennifer has visited Costa Rica, Canada, Argentina, Chile, Belize, Panama, Peru, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, Colombia, Alaska, Chile, Iceland, Ecuador, and the Galápagos Islands. Jennifer’s most memorable travel experiences include flying over glaciers in Alaska in a 4-seat plane, hiking the Inca trail and Machu Picchu, and climbing glaciers in Iceland. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, hiking, reading, and spending time with family.
Ashley has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish with a minor in Latin American studies from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She lived in Ecuador while attending Universidad San Francisco de Quito for a few semesters and stayed with a host family in Valparaiso, Chile during a summer abroad program.
Teresa has a bachelor's degree in international business and has additional certification in accounting, customer care, and foreign trade. One of the things she likes about working at Holbrook is that she can learn something new every day. Born and raised in Ecuador, she is fluent in Spanish and English, and she still returns to visit family in Ecuador whenever she has the chance. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and children, especially watching movies on Saturday nights.
Kim has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the National Chung Hsing University, a master’s degree in hospitality business management from Michigan State University, and a certification in accounting from the University of California, Berkeley Extension. Kim was born and raised Taiwan and speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese. She has traveled to Costa Rica, Canada, Belize, Cayman Islands, Bahamas, Honduras, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
Nicole has a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation with a minor in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences from the University of Florida. She has conducted research projects in Georgia, St. Croix, St. Johns, and Puerto Rico, and has three scientific journal publications. Nicole started at Holbrook as receptionist, but was quickly promoted to her current role as destination consultant, providing customer service to Road Scholar participants. Nicole has traveled throughout the United States including Hawaii, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. She has also visited the Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Aruba, Colombia, Panama, Mexico, and most recently Costa Rica on the Road Scholar program Rim to Shore: Costa Rica Multisport. In her free time she enjoys anything marine based: diving, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and canoeing.
Pelin has a bachelor's degree in city and regional planning from Middle East Technical University in Turkey and a master’s degree in recreation, parks and tourism from the University of Florida. Her dream is to visit Churchill, Canada to see the polar bears. In her free time she enjoys photography and cheering on the Gators.
A native of Lima, Peru, Federico Perez Eguren has used his passion for regional development in tourism throughout his career in his work for UNESCO, as Finance Officer at COFIDE, Deputy Manager of the National Tourism Corporation in charge of the operation of 43 hotels around Peru, International Manager of Promperu and US Director of the Peru Tourism Board.
He settled in Miami with his family and started his first company, Eco Expeditions, a tour operator agency, designing and promoting natural history itineraries as well as building and operating an Eco Lodge in a private reserve of 3,000 hectares in the Peruvian Amazon. Afterward he was appointed as Marketing Manager for the US in Aeroperu Airlines and finally opened his own Marketing and Sales Company representing well known tourism companies of South America.
Carlos was born in Puerto Rico and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Ohio State University and a Magister in Political Science from the Catholic University of Chile. Raised in Costa Rica, Carlos spent most of his early career devoted to environmental and rural economic development work with not-for-profit organizations, private consulting groups, public utilities and the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D.C. After spending three years in El Salvador he returned to Costa Rica in 2003 and has since been operating adventure and community-based tours all over Central America. He speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese and German. Carlos has visited every country on the American mainland continent save for French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname and Ecuador.
Etel attended Jacksonville University on an academic and sports scholarship and Florida State College at Jacksonville. Etel was born in Trujillo, Honduras and was raised in St. Lucia. At Holbrook, Etel is responsible for quality control and incident management. Etel has visited many countries around the world including Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Brazil, Cayman Islands, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominica, Ecuador and Galapagos Islands, El Salvador, Falkland Islands, Guatemala, Guadalupe, Honduras, Peru, Jamaica, Martinique, Mexico, Montserrat, St. Lucia, and Uruguay. Her favorite place to spend her free time is the beach, because she loves to fish, swim, and snorkel.
Paloma received her Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and Spanish from the University of Florida. She spent 10 months studying abroad in Zaragoza, Spain and enjoys speaking Spanish. Her first travel memory is hiking in New Mexico at age 5 while on a cross country road trip with her family. She has a handful of countries on her travel bucket list including Tanzania for the wildlife, Peru to hike the Inca trail, and Morocco for the food.
Anna grew up in Rio, Brazil and holds a Bachelor of Arts in art from Southwestern University in Texas plus two years of industrial design from P.U.C.-Rio de Janeiro. She joined the Holbrook team in 1993 and worked her way up to customer service manager. Anna is now a member of the program development team, a position that allows her to be involved in product design from concept to reality. She has been to England, Channel Islands, Canada, Ecuador, Galapagos Islands, Peru, Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, Costa Rica, Kenya, and South Africa. One of her fondest travel experiences is snorkeling with her son among whale sharks and sea turtles in the Yucatán. During work breaks she is usually seen enjoying the back deck, hoping to spot birds and other animals in the surrounding forest.
