Lisa Palmese-Graubard and Chris Bensley will be representing Holbrook Travel in the Music City Center from March 31-April 3 for the annual NSTA Conference.
Several speakers will be at the event, most notably Bill Nye, who will discuss the possibility of nudging ice and rocks in space out of the way of Earth’s atmosphere. Along with that, sessions will be taking place that are geared towards educators. Elementary Extravaganza will have you walking out with a head full of ideas and arms filled with materials. “Meet Me in the Middle Day”, designed mainly for middle school educators, includes networking sessions, several presentation and an afternoon share-a-thon where you’ll attain numerous lesson plans and activities for your classroom. These are just a few of the many sessions available, such as, Science in the Community Events, Teacher Researcher Day, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)@NSTA Special Events, and NSTA Press Sessions.
The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) was founded to promote excellence and innovation in science teaching and learning for all. NSTA works with teachers of science nationwide to improve student learning by providing a vast array of products, services, and programs. Along with this, NSTA offers a variety of focused, face-to-face professional development programs for science educators. Each year NSTA hosts a conference open to members and nonmembers and this year it will be taking place in Nashville, TN.
