As we drove on the famous Rt. 40 in Patagonia, the spine of the Andes was aglow with snow-covered peaks jutting up from the barren Patagonian Steppe. As we drove further, the granite spires of the Mt. Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre massif appeared like daggers out of the earth and we knew this was going to be a world class trekking experience! In the wake of famous mountaineers, this park offers jawdropping scenery and the chance to hike in a remote pristine area where few people travel. You’ll see glaciers calving amidst fantastic, surrealistic scenery and this national park really delivers magic, with relatively easy trekking. But be sure to turn around and enjoy the view out of the park!
