Komodo Island and the surrounding islands that make up Komodo National Park in Indonesia have become well known for being home to the infamous Komodo Dragon, the largest living species of lizard. What many people do not realize is that the seas surrounding these islands are some of the most diverse in the world! Situated in the Coral Triangle, the pristine reefs around Komodo provide habitat for thousands of species of coral, fish, and other colorful marine life. Clownfish and their host anemones, such as the one pictured above, are a common sight while diving or snorkeling!
