Dance Alive Performs at the International Havana Ballet Festival
October 28 – November 4, 2018
About this program
Every two years, the International Havana Ballet Festival gathers the best dancers and dance companies from all continents—2018 DANCE ALIVE has been invited!
Cuba is well known for many forms of dance, from Mambo and tango to salsa, the cha-cha and the rumba. Only Ballet enthusiasts know that the dance form is one of the country's biggest cultural events.
Explore Havana while enjoying this International Ballet Festival. Additionally, visit the beautiful Viñales Valley with limestone mounds riddled with caves and underground streams. Dip in the azure waters of the Caribbean Sea in the classic Varadero beach. And learn about "Papa Hemingway" at his Cuban home, Finca Vigía.
In a community that has been isolated from the world's resources, it is the tenacity of the Cuban people that has made the country the fascinating and welcoming place it is today.
