A perfect day tour for bird lovers! Yanacocha reserve is located on the slopes of Volcan Pichincha, just 40 min. away from Quito. The reserve protects a large area (960ha) of Polylepis woodland which is home to many species of hummingbirds like the endangered Black-breasted Puff leg considered the Bird Emblem of Quito. It is also home to other birds like the Curve-billed Tinamou, Ocellated Tapaculo and Mountain Tanagers. Continue for lunch to Nono, a small picturesque town home to many hummingbirds. Visit a beautiful private property to see dozens of these fearless little birds zipping around. In the afternoon you will transfer back to your hotel in Quito. (Meals: Lunch)
