Holbrook Travel is dedicated to offering quality educational, natural history, and specialty travel coordination to groups and individuals. Major channels of distribution of our product include educational institutions, nature organizations, photography clubs, a wide array of special interest clubs, and private groups of families and friends. Holbrook also owns and operates Selva Verde Lodge & Rainforest Reserve in Costa Rica.
Our primary destinations of expertise are Latin America and Africa. Countries such as Costa Rica, Belize, Honduras, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands, Peru, Kenya, and Tanzania are some of the regions in which we create our own programs.
About This Position
The Destination Consultant is a multi-faceted role including areas of Customer Service such as communicating by email and phone with customers and partners, reviewing documents for accuracy, preparing reports and documents, and assisting with the full body of work of the Customer Service department on behalf of Holbrook Travel.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience providing customer service, answering phones, and performing data entry; will be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks; and will have an excellent attitude and be dependable.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality customer service by responding to our participants’ calls and emails
- Partner with your team to resolve our participants’ issues and concerns
- Perform data entry using proprietary software system
- Export and print reports
- Check passenger travel documents for accuracy
- Correspond by email and phone with our field partners to reserve transportation and hotel accommodations for our clients
- Prepare travel documents for submission to our mailing department
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
- Polished, professional verbal/written communication required
- International travel experience, professional or personal, is a plus
- Proven ability to successfully resolve issues via phone
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent computer skills
- Spanish language is a plus
- Organizational/time management skills: Job may require working on multiple concurrent projects. Candidates must be able to work efficiently and in an organized manner in order to meet project deadlines.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office products
