Day 14/ July 4, 2013 Today we had a mid-morning flight from Cusco to Lima, but left early to avoid a demonstration that would block the road to the airport.  I love our people in Cusco — taking care of us like that. We had a schedule and they made sure we kept to it! Square-1 After some time in the Cusco airport, which was spent browsing the shops and people watching, we boarded our LAN flight for Lima.   Without wasting any time, we were headed south to Paracas with snacks distributed and The Blind Side movie to entertain us.  Before we knew it we were having a delicious lunch and Paracas was not too far in the distance. IMG_2451-1 The landscape is stark with miles and miles of sand dunes.  At times you could see the oc ean, but mostly we saw dunes with tin houses sprinkled around.   It was so interesting for this girl from Florida! Soon we were driving down a long straight road to the beautiful Doubletree Resort by Hilton in Paracas.  The place is jaw dropping and we were going to stay for two nights.  We were all very happy to have the rest of the day to enjoy the pool and grounds.  Dinner was delicious in anticipation of our upcoming day. pool-at-DBLtree-Paracas-1   Next post >> Previous post >> Learn more about this program >>
