Costa Rica Family Adventure

Upon arrival at the San Jose International Airport, after clearing customs and collecting your luggage, you will be met by a driver and begin your transfer to Arenal. Arrive at Arenal Paraiso Resort & Spa, which is located between the Arenal Volcano and Lake Arenal. You will have the remainder of the afternoon at leisure.

Morning hike at Bogarin trail (activity and transportation booked through Kevin). Return to lodge for lunch on own and time at leisure. Afternoon 2:00 pm visit to Arenal Sky Adventure (booked on own but transportation provided for 7 people, pick up at 1:15 pm).

Full day of activities in Arenal booked on own.

10 am pick up for morning visit to Ecotermales with lunch (activity and meal booked on own, only transportation provided). Transfer back to the the resort at 3 pm and spend the afternoon enjoying the amenities, or take advantage of tours offered by the hotel at additional cost. Options include: ziplining, horseback riding.

Today, after breakfast 10 am transfer to the Sarapiqui Valley and Selva Verde Lodge. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and then check-in to your Sarapiqui Room. You will have the remainder of the afternoon at leisure to explore your new surroundings. There are self-guided trails on the property, as well as activities that can be added to your itinerary if you so choose. Tonight, join Selva Verde's naturalist on a hike in search of nocturnal species (shared service).

Spend today enjoying the onsite trails, birdwatching, and pool at the resort, or take advantage of tours offered by the hotel at additional cost. Options include: guided nature walks, morning bird walk, night hike, evening Latin dance class, Sarapiqui river cruise, hiking at La Selva Biological Station, white-water rafting, horseback riding, ziplining, chocolate tour. Dinner at La Terraza Restaurant at 7:00 pm (paid on own).

This morning you will be transferred at 8 am to the San Jose International Airport for your flight(s) home. Please be aware, when arranging your air schedule, that there is a required 3 hour prior to departure check-in. The hotel is approximately 2 hours from the airport, unless it is during rush hours, so it is suggested that you arrange afternoon departures. Check out is at 12 pm.
