Quito’s Botanical Garden boasts a great exhibition of plants of different colors, sizes, shapes and smells, going through different ecosystems from the native flora of the high Andes to the cloud forest, dry forest and ornamental plants. One of its main attractions is the orchids display containing over 1,200 species. Quito is known as the World ´s Capital of Orchids due to the big number of species found in Quito and its surroundings. Continue to Quito’s colonial center for a walking tour through its colonial streets, buildings and houses embellished by the Quitenian balconies, adorned with geraniums, a colorful flower considered one of the symbols of the city. In the afternoon you will transfer back to your hotel in Quito. (Meals: Lunch)
