In the just-released second season of “Untamed” by Nat Geo Wild, filmmaker Filipe DeAndrade captures incredible footage of iconic Costa Rican wildlife.

Each episode of the six-part digital series is approximately 5 to 6 minutes long and showcases different species and ecosystems. In one episode, for example, four different kinds of hummingbirds compete for nectar with high-flying acrobats in the Talamanca Mountains. In another, jaguars prey on nesting sea turtles in Santa Rosa National Park on the Pacific coast. The series can be found online on Nat Geo Wild's YouTube and Facebook channels.

In a press release, Ireth Rodríguez, head of promotion at the Costa Rica Tourism Board, said the National Geographic series showcases Costa Rica as an ecotourism destination and as a champion of sustainability and research.
