Anna C. Brown
Job title: Program Manager
Worked at Holbrook Travel since: 1993
Born: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Anna was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She holds a bachelor's degree in art from Southwestern University and two years of industrial design studies at Pontificia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. After eight years at Holbrook as Road Scholar Customer Service Manager, Anna sought a more creative role that would also incorporate her love of research and design and is now responsible for the research, writing, maintenance, and creation of preparatory travel information.
Some of her most memorable travel experiences include swimming with whale sharks off Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula and climbing a metal ladder to the top of Temple IV (213 ft) in Tikal, Guatemala. She is particularly proud that she was able to get beyond her fear of heights and swimming in open-ocean in order to participate in these once-in-a-lifetime adventures.
During her break at work, you're likely to find her spending time outside on the back deck, spotting birds and other animals.
She has traveled to England and the Channel Islands, Canada, Ecuador, Galápagos Islands, Peru, Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, Costa Rica, Kenya, South Africa, and of course — Brazil. You can watch this video to hear all about Anna's adventures with her son Brian when they went on an intergenerational program to the Yucatan Peninsula.
Thank you and congratulations to Anna for 21 years (and counting) at Holbrook!
